Proposed by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and adopted by the United Nations in 2014, Yoga Day is a global celebration of India’s ancient gift to the world. Today, over 190 countries mark the occasion—with sessions in parks, schools, offices, homes, and even the UN headquarters!

What is Yoga?

Yoga isn’t just about postures or “asanas.” It’s a holistic lifestyle, a blend of movement (asana), breath control (pranayama), mindfulness, and meditation. From easing anxiety and improving posture to boosting focus and inner peace, yoga heals from the inside out.
